The cityscape of Torhal is home to various groups of adventurers, the guilds. You can lead the most powerful of them all, sending them out on missions vital to the city’s safety.
Chama, the Bound Elemental
“The elements make up everything. And they bend to our whim”
The normal citizens of Torhal see Fire, Electricity, Water, and Air as chaotic elements that are destructive by nature. To the Elementals, these forces are merely tools to be used to progress their goals. The most chaotic of the guilds, the Elementalists act in powerful bursts, spreading their influence like wildfire before receding like a wave. In combat, they hurl fire, lightning, and ice blasts while deflecting blows with shields made of stone and sand.
Dhurtaan, the Dreadknight
“If you fear death, you will come to fear us.”
The Dreadknights are a sinister power in Torhal. Gaining their power from spilled blood and keeping it through threats, the Dreadknights are a looming symbol of fear and tyranny in Torhal. They take what they want, from whoever has it. Even their allies keep a close eye on them, as the Dreadknights have turned on more than one friend over minor squabbles. They wield dark magics, using the souls of those they have killed to empower their own spells.
Bambuk, the Warden
“By the might of trees and the strength of the ground itself.”
The Wardensare the most openly supported guild in Torhal. Their goals are openly stated and lead to the betterment of everyone. They believe in balance above all things, and with so much destruction and exploitation in the world, they have become a beacon of hope to the beleaguered. A dark truth hides in their order though. Balance must be established and maintained at all costs, and should the region ever come to an absolute peace, the Naturalists are prepared to bring balance back on the side of chaos as well. The naturalists channel the might of beasts, the growth of trees, and the force of weather itself to accomplish their goals.
Jorgskred, the Geomancer
“Power is useless if you don’t know how to use it.”
Jorgskred is a member of a studious order who look to books and knowledge to further their goals. Their studious and planned methods have attracted many magic users to their order. As such, the Arcanists have the most wizards, priests, and tacticians at their disposal while running missions. The guild trains its adventurers in the arts of controlling and outwitting their opponents, often taking enemies by surprise with destructive spellpower.
